Company Directors

Frank Edward Marshall

Position – Development & Construction Director

As the son of a family business man, Edward started visiting building sites and quarries as a baby. Growing up with this situation ingrained a deep knowledge and love of building and quarrying. After school his path became clear and an HND in Construction was completed followed by a degree in Construction management. During the years of education Edward worked as a quarry labourer, a stone saw yard operative, a brick layer and brickie’s labourer and ground worker. While at University he worked as a trainee quantity surveyor for local Liverpool building contractor FJ Brereton.

After a fun and successful university career Edward went to work for Marshalls Construction (no relation) as a site engineer building industrial units around the north. After nearly 2 years he returned to the family firm to run the quarrying operations as the 5th generation in this sector. Over 10 years the quarries were built up through investment and strong sales, to the 3rd largest producer of Yorkshire stone.

The next, and current role, was to become construction and development director at Frank Marshall Estates after the death of his father, Ernest. This role involves finding and developing multi let industrial property as well as finding other investment opportunities and over seeing group construction activities.

Outside of work Edward is a rock climber, kick boxer, skier, Crossfit enthusiast and general outdoor lover. He has 2 children and a wife who share the love of adventure and the outdoors.
